Furcifer Pardalis (aka Panther Chameleon) eggs

My female Ambilobe laid 28 eggs early yesterday evening. They hatch anywhere between 7-12 months. A long wait, but worth it!

Mother's Day?

Mother's Day.

Another greeting card holiday. I used to love Mother's day. I lavished my Mother with everything I could think of to make her feel special on this particular day. I lost my precious Mother on December 7, 2008. I am also a mother, but this day holds nothing special for me any longer. I choose to just ignore it and attempt to get through it.

Mother's Day in my house is another day in which I exercise all of my motherly abilities. Cooking, cleaning, watching what the others want on TV. I made a comment that I would like to do something fun and the response I got was " I'd rather just watch TV." Ok. Sure, no problem. After all this is Mother's Day and you are entiltiled, non-mother's that you are, to have exactly what you want on this day. It's not like you get ANYTHING you want any other day of the year. No, it MUST be today.

Mother's Day. A special day during the year, set aside, to show us mother's just how under-appreciated we really are. Gotta love that!

Pink Clouds

My daughter pointed out a PINK cloud tonight. I think that's kinda ironic. I mean clouds usually symbolize a dark feeling or depression. The color pink usually represents happiness and fun. Mixed together, I'm not sure what they mean. Hmmmm...

Maybe it means, it's not as bad as you think.

OR

Perhaps it means I am thinking entirely to much about cotton candy.

American Idol

This will probably be the first of many AI posts. Tonights show was good. I really liked Harry Connick Jr. I think that out of all of the celebrity guests so far, he was the best and most helpful. My favorite 2 of the season, Lee and Crystal, were awesome. If the finale comes down to these 2, then the system works.

Aaron... Yeah, ok. Well, he seems sweet.
Casey... I just don't see it or hear it for that matter. Either Casey or Aaron needs to head home tomorrow night.
Big Mike... He was great tonight, but not good enough to make the final 2. Sorry.

Ryan is becoming VERY annoying. What is with his "jokes" that are not funny? They are actually just uncomfortable. Kinda like Ellen is. Just awkward to watch.

Kara and Simon are great. Though, Kara usually looks like she is smelling something rotten. I still like her. I love Simon's snark. The show won't be the same without him. It shouldn't last long once he leaves.

Lady Gaga tomorrow night. I could do without her and never feel deprived.

Harry Connick Jr will also be on tomorrow night. Him I can deal with.

Dining at Disney

Alright, we love Disney. Most people do, I think. Disney is great at providing family friendly entertainment at outlandish prices. The same can be said for the eating establishments associated with Disney theme parks. Whether eating inside a park, at a resort or at Downtown Disney, be prepared to fork over a boatload of cash. Is the food worth the amazingly high prices? No. Is the experience worth the over-the-top $$$? In my opinion, yes.

Case in point: Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex at Downtown Disney in Orlando, FL. Wonderful atmosphere, OK food. A hamburger for $15? You betcha! Both offer the same menus (just different names) and basically the same prices. You just can't go to McDonald's or BK and get the same fun, exciting enviroment. Ok, the hamburgers are 100 times better than either of those fast food places, just not worth $15.

Of course if you are going to go to Disney, you want the entire experience and that includes dining. Just deal with it. Character dining in the theme parks and resorts is a must-do for families with children. Especially if it is a first visit. Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace offer large buffet style meals with awesome meet and greet opportunities with some of you and your kids favorite characters. Just be prepared to shell out at least $120. For breakfast! HAHA! Gotta love Disney!

First Blog Entry

The very first blog entry ever!

Ok, so, you must begin somewhere. Everything has a beginning. I decided to start this blog because I have thoughts (as the blog title suggests) and opinions on just about everything. I also love to write. This allows me to share both. Somethimes the opinions and thoughts I have are on completely random things. Sometimes not. I love random. It is interesting. Interesting is good.

Let's get this going....
